What is an Infrared Sauna?
Unlike traditional saunas that use steam in the air to heat your body, the Relax Sauna uses invisible, far infrared light to heat your body directly. Infrared light is a part of the full spectrum of light coming from the sun. The infrared light is invisible, but felt as heat. Infrared waves are easily absorbed by the body, increasing the body’s temperature from the inside out. This produces a deeper sweat and does not rely on high external temperatures to induce sweating. Far infrared saunas work by emitting a certain bandwidth of energy that resonates with the water and organic cells of the body. This pulsating of water molecules causes an increase in core temperature, which mobilizes the lymphatic system.
